Before going to MusicLand, my daughter took lessons with a private teacher who taught her play by ear and didn’t teach her to read notes nor theory. She used to get frustrated practicing at home. Wish we had come to the MusicLand sooner. Her current teacher, June, teaches her not only playing, but also notes reading, theory and other fundamentals. Now my daughter goes practice on her own without a fuss because music makes sense now according to her. 🙂
